There is nothing like capturing a moment in time that will never be forgotten, those sweet sixty seconds, more or less, in life where families are growing up together, and truly enjoying each others company. My favorite thing about photography is that time actually freezes. Its the life's greatest, and only form of time travel.

Growing up, under my bed were tons of shoe boxes, packed to the rim, with photos of events that had taken place in my life. From birth, to the last day of high school, I had each moment stored to one day be looked back upon, and remembered.
Everything in our world has been sped up in some shape or form, the microwave for cooking, to fast food drive through windows, humans are always looking for the next greatest way to speed something up. The problem is, is that we have also sped our own lives up. So often we take each moment of the day for granted, letting time pass us by, when so many would do anything for another few minutes with someone they have lost.

Photography for me is a way to slow my world down. With one click of my camera, a moment is frozen. My nephew will forever be a new born, my grandmother healthy, my husband and me on our first date, my sister and me playing in the front yard as little girls, all these moments I have forever frozen with just a simple click of a camera.

Life is to short to let time pass us by. Kids become teenagers, then adults, loved ones are lost, but never forgotten, photos are a way to keep, what use to be, forever.
